Now Feeling: Concrete x Steel
My endless wanderings on the internet always lead me to the most wonderful things! I am a huge fan of statement jewelry, particularly rings, especially silver ones:
I fall in love with this ring every time I wear it, the mini “columns” give me the geekiest thrill, never mind the fact that its size makes it just slightly threatening; People comment on it constantly, and I’ve gotten some pretty interesting interpretations (“what is that, a car part?” “…heat sink?”) My obsession with leaking architecture into the rest of my life made it so that I could not resist the ad on MocoLoco that simply said “Concrete + Stainless Steel Rings.”
After snooping about the website, I can safely say that in my humble opinion, Karen Konzuk rocks! Made primarily of stainless steel, her pieces also employ concrete or colorful powder coating for alluringly discreet gestures. Though each collection has its identifying qualities, the overall feeling of her designs are luxuriously industrial and beautiful:
